Leanne Davis

Wedding Officiant & Life-Cycle Celebrant™

I’m Leanne Davis, a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant™, licensed wedding officiant in British Columbia, and modern metaphysical minister based in Nelson, BC.

I create ceremonies for the moments that ask us to stop, pay attention, and mark what is changing — weddings, celebrations of life, memorials, welcoming ceremonies, and other significant transitions across the life cycle.

My work is grounded in the belief that ceremony can do more than acknowledge an occasion. At its best, ceremony gives shape and meaning to an experience. It helps us honour where we have been, recognize what matters now, and cross a threshold with intention.

~ Celebrancy is both my practice and my profession.

I trained with the Celebrant Foundation & Institute and hold my professional certification through the Natural Transitions Institute (NTI).

Today, in addition to my work with clients, I serve on the faculty of the Natural Transitions Institute as a Learning Facilitator for Fundamentals of Celebrancy — the foundational course in which emerging celebrants learn the principles and practices at the heart of meaningful ceremony.

I am also the host of the Natural Transitions Institute podcast and I curate the NTI blog, where I speak with celebrants and other thoughtful practitioners about ceremony, ritual, storytelling, transition, community, grief, celebration, and the many ways we make meaning in our lives.

Teaching celebrancy and hosting these conversations continually deepen my own practice. They keep me curious, connected to the wider field of celebrancy, and engaged with the evolving ways ceremony can serve individuals, families, and communities.
